Neil deGrasse Tyson

Neil deGrasse Tyson is an American astrophysicist, author, and science communicator born in Manhattan, New York in 1958. As director of the Hayden Planetarium since 1996 and host of the rebooted Cosmos television series, he has become perhaps the most recognizable scientist in America. His book Astrophysics for People in a Hurry spent over a year on the New York Times bestseller list, making complex cosmology accessible to millions. Tyson has authored over a dozen books and is a tireless advocate for scientific literacy and space exploration.
