Biography

Aldous Huxley was a British writer and philosopher born in Godalming, Surrey in 1894 into one of England's most distinguished intellectual families. He is best known for Brave New World, his 1932 dystopian masterpiece that envisioned a society controlled through pleasure rather than pain. Over his career, Huxley published nearly 50 books spanning novels, essays, poetry, and philosophy, evolving from satirist to mystic. He died on November 22, 1963 — the same day as President Kennedy's assassination.
