Biography
Alan Watts was a British-American philosopher and writer who popularized Eastern philosophy for Western audiences. Born in Chislehurst, England in 1915, he moved to the United States and became a leading interpreter of Zen Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism. His books and legendary lectures made complex spiritual concepts accessible and entertaining, influencing the counterculture movement and generations of seekers. He authored over 25 books before his death in 1973.
